Convenient, fast, fresh, generous portions for an extremely good price, and packed with flavor - what's not to like? This food cart is located conveniently near Charles plaza business center and the royal farms arena. Cash only.
For $7 you can get a load of tender chicken and/or lamb over rice with some spicy sauce (optional). We opted for combo (I.e., chicken and lamb) over rice and another box of lamb over rice - both came with a drink. We spent a total of $14. I don't know if I ever spent $7 for lunch + tax besides McDonald's. It was the best damn $7 I ever spent on lunch. The rice was flavored well with fennel seeds. Spicy sauce is a little more spicy than expected (we're not in the Midwest no more!) but I love heat so it was perfect. It was also tempered by the white sauce which was creamy like mayo but also lighter like green yogurt. Chicken and lamb were both very tender. My husband liked both equally but I favored the lamb. The small side of lettuce and tomato slices were great additions to add some brightness to the hearty meal. Definitely would come back again. -

I have been working in the city for a year and this is the only halal food cart I'll go to. The cart is near Royal Farms Arena and they take card as well so it's not only cash. I usually go for the chicken over rice, it's the perfect lunch option- filling and inexpensive. I live near the Halal Guys in Rockville and I prefer this halal cart over them!

I know. one look at the pic you're automatically thinking: Holy shit. That is one messy ass meal. And, you're probably right, so be careful while eating it, but damn me if it's messy, the food was absolutely great. When I think of food carts back then, I automatically think of what... yep. Hot Dogs. Nowadays, you have some amazing food coming out of food carts, and Mediterranean Halal Food Cart is one of those places.
Why you may ask? First, the amount of food is absolutely enormous. Look at what I got. Yeah, and then add on top the price of what it all was? I would be coming here almost every day if I worked here, but sadly I don't. I was here for work, and this was the only day that I was going to be in Baltimore. I got lunch and then went back to work, but it was absolutely great.
I got a salad along with a gyro, and it was just stacked. The location of the cart was great, and at the same time it was quick. This place is an obvious grab and go type of food and it shouldn't change. Not much else to it. It's great food with amazing flavors and it's very filling. I would suggest to order one thing, as I ordered two things and it was a bit too much (I still finished though, regretting when I exercised it off later on though!) -

They made the portion size much SMALLER with a much SMALLER BOX. They also raised the price. Bring back the old box

I had higher expectations of this place. Had it bookmarked for a while and was able to catch it one weekend for lunch. I had the chicken lamb mix over salad. I asked for extra spicy but I didn't get sauce on it. They gave a small amount of spicy sauce on the side. Whatever. I added more hot sauce to it when I got home. It was just regular to me. I doubt if I would have this again.
